What's Included With Every FocusPod

Buying guide

What's in the price.

Every model, what comes as standard, and the four things that are genuinely optional.

FocusPod acoustic office booth installed on an open-plan office floor

Every FocusPod includes Class A acoustics to ISO 23351-1, active ventilation that runs even when the booth is empty, dimmable LED lighting, two New Zealand power outlets with USB-A and USB-C, occupancy sensing, and delivery included to main centres nationwide, with a freight quote for rural and remote addresses. It comes with a 10-year structural and 3-year electrical warranty. Optional: professional installation from $1,145, furniture from $515, privacy glass from $1,385 and air conditioning at $2,875, all ex GST.

Standard on every model

Nothing here is an upsell
FocusPod continuous ventilation system
01

Ventilation, including when it's empty

70 m³/h in a one-person booth up to 327 in a six-person pod, with the air fully changed every 1.6 to 2.4 minutes. It also runs a five-minute exchange every half hour of vacancy, so it is fresh when the next person opens the door.

Integrated LED lighting and USB-C charging inside a FocusPod
02

Lighting and power

Dimmable LED with adjustable colour temperature, two New Zealand outlets, USB-A and USB-C, and rear cable management. Wiring to AS/NZS 3000 with its own circuit breaker.

Occupancy sensor lighting in a FocusPod booth
03

Occupancy sensing

Lights come on as you walk in and off after a period without movement. Adjustable, and it can be disabled. Power outlets stay live regardless.

Aluminium frame and full-glass magnetic door
04

The door and its seal

Full-glass magnetic-close door on a gasket seal, on a precision aluminium frame. This is what maintains the acoustic performance over years of use, and it is where cheaper booths fail first.

Also included and easy to overlook: delivery included to main centre addresses, to your floor rather than the loading dock, with dock booking and lift access coordinated with your building manager. And a 10-year structural, 3-year electrical warranty with spare parts held on the Queensland.

What's genuinely optional

Option Price ex GST Worth it when
Professional installation $1,145 – $2,070 You would rather not spend an afternoon on it, or building access is complicated. Two people can genuinely assemble a Solo in two to four hours
Furniture From $515 Almost always. Pods ship as empty shells — a stool for short calls, a desk and chair for full days
Privacy glass From $1,385 Confidential conversations, or where a glazed door faces a bank of desks and people feel watched
Air conditioning $2,875 West-facing glazing, Queensland and NT, warehouses, or long sessions. Much better specified up front than retrofitted
Custom colours No extra cost You have four to six weeks. Seven exterior and thirteen interior finishes

The two worth deciding at order time

Air conditioning. Retrofitting means opening up the roof module, which is more disruptive and more expensive than fitting it during the build. If there is any chance the pod sits somewhere warm, specify it now. The cost of having it on a pod that turns out not to need it is far lower than adding it to one that does.

Furniture. Not because it is hard to add later, but because the wrong furniture is a common and quietly fatal reason people avoid a booth. A stool suits fifteen-minute calls; two-hour sessions need a proper chair and desk. Match it to how the booth will actually be used.

What customers say

Named, with permission
Solo · Auckland

★★★★★

“We added a FocusPod Solo because private phone calls were becoming difficult in our open-plan office. It gets used constantly for client calls, Zoom meetings and focused work. It looks professional, takes up very little space and has freed up our meeting rooms for larger groups.”

Emily Carter
Harbour Lane Finance

Solo · Christchurch

★★★★★

“We originally purchased one FocusPod Solo to see how much use it would get. Within the first week, staff were booking it throughout the day. It has given everyone a quiet place to take calls without interrupting the rest of the office.”

Daniel Brooks
Westbridge Property Group

Solo · Queensland

★★★★★

“The Solo has been a great addition to our studio. We have a collaborative workspace, which is excellent most of the time, but it can be difficult when someone needs privacy or complete concentration. The pod solves that problem without taking over the room.”

Sarah Mitchell
Coastline Creative

Meet · Auckland

★★★★★

“We use the FocusPod Meet for client appointments and video conferences almost every day. It gives us a quiet, professional setting and prevents clients from having to sit in the middle of a busy open office. The finish also matches our workplace extremely well.”

Thomas Reed
Eastpoint Legal

Meet · Queensland

★★★★★

“Our meeting rooms were constantly booked, especially when staff needed somewhere quiet for video calls. The FocusPod Meet has solved that problem. It is spacious enough for client discussions but still compact enough that we did not sacrifice a large amount of office space.”

Common questions

What comes standard with an office pod?

Class A acoustics to ISO 23351-1, active ventilation that also runs when the booth is empty, dimmable LED lighting, two New Zealand power outlets with USB-A and USB-C, occupancy sensing, delivery included to main centres nationwide, with a freight quote for rural and remote addresses, and a 10-year structural with 3-year electrical warranty.

Is furniture included with an office pod?

No — pods ship as empty shells. Furniture packages start at $515 ex GST for a one-person booth. Match it to how the booth will be used: a stool for short calls, a proper chair and desk for full days.

Is installation included in the price?

It is optional, from $1,145 ex GST. Self-assembly is realistic: two people, two to four hours, with the required tools supplied and no floor fixings.

Do I have to pay extra for a different colour?

No. Seven exterior and thirteen interior finishes are available at no extra cost — the trade is lead time, since custom combinations are built to order in about four to six weeks rather than shipping from stock.

Should I add air conditioning at the time of order?

If there is any chance the pod sits against west-facing glazing, in a warm climate, or in a warehouse, yes. Retrofitting means opening up the roof module and is more disruptive and more expensive than fitting it during the build.

Is delivery really free?

Yes, to main centre addresses, included in the published price with no metro, regional or Western New Zealand surcharge — and to your floor rather than the loading dock.
