Office Pod Installation Guide
Installation
Delivered flat-packed. Working by lunchtime.
Two people, basic tools, one power point. Or our team does it in a morning and you touch nothing.

A FocusPod arrives flat-packed on a pallet. Two people assemble it in two to four hours with basic hand tools and no floor fixings. It then runs from a single standard 240V 10A outlet, so no electrician is required. Professional installation is available from $1,145 ex GST and is usually finished in a single morning.
Before you order
Measure three thingsYour lift
Packed pallets are 1270 mm tall, 570 to 1100 mm deep, and between 2310 and 2650 mm long depending on model. The length is the number that fails a lift, not the assembled height.
The route from the dock
Corridor width, doorway widths and any tight corners between the loading dock and the destination. Send photos if you are unsure and we will tell you before you order.
Ceiling height
Pods stand 2338 mm tall and need clearance above for ventilation. Also check for sprinkler heads, ducting and lighting directly above the intended position.
Assembly, if you do it yourself
Everything needed is in the pallet, including the Allen keys. You will want two people — not because the panels are unmanageable, but because holding a panel square while fixing it is a two-person job.
Two to four hours for a one-person pod, longer for larger models. The sequence is floor, corner posts, wall panels, glazing and door, then roof module with the ventilation unit, then power connection and testing. Nothing is drilled into the building at any point.

Installation pricing is the last row. It covers delivery to your floor rather than the dock, positioning, full assembly, connection and testing of lighting, ventilation and power before we leave. We handle dock booking and lift access with your building manager directly.
Power
One outlet, no electricianA pod draws between 40 W for a one-person booth and 120 W for a six-person model — comparable to a laptop charger and a desk lamp respectively. It runs from one standard 240V 10A general power outlet.
No dedicated circuit, no hard-wiring, no electrical trade and no compliance certificate required. Internal wiring is to AS/NZS 3000 and each pod has its own circuit breaker. The pod ships with an New Zealand plug, which is not true of every imported booth on the market.
After it's in
Pods can be repositioned or relocated to a new tenancy later — see the warranty page for how relocation interacts with cover, and maintenance for keeping it in good order.
Common questions
How long does it take to install an office pod?
Two people assemble a one-person pod in two to four hours with basic tools. Larger models take longer but still fit inside a single day. Professional installation by our team is typically completed in one morning including delivery, assembly and testing.
Do I need an electrician to install an office pod?
No. Every model runs from a single standard 240V 10A outlet and draws between 40 and 120 W depending on size. No dedicated circuit, no hard-wiring and no electrical trade. Wiring inside the pod is to AS/NZS 3000 with its own circuit breaker.
What tools do I need to assemble a FocusPod?
Basic hand tools. An Allen key set, a screwdriver and a rubber mallet cover it, and the required keys are supplied. No power tools, no drilling into the building and no floor fixings.
How much does professional installation cost?
From $1,145 ex GST for a one-person pod up to $2,070 ex GST for a six-person model. That covers delivery to your floor, positioning, assembly, connection and testing.
What access do you need to deliver a pod?
Enough room to get the pallet from the dock to the destination. Packed pallets are 1270 mm tall, 570 to 1100 mm deep and between 2310 and 2650 mm long. That length is the measurement that catches people out, so check your lift and any tight corners before ordering.
Do office pods need to be fixed to the floor?
No. Pods are freestanding and stable under their own weight, between 290 kg and 970 kg depending on model. Nothing drills into the floor, walls or ceiling, which is why they need no landlord approval and create no make-good liability.
Can a pod be moved after installation?
Yes. Pods disassemble and reassemble, so they can be repositioned on the same floor or moved to a new tenancy. Repositioning a short distance can often be done without full disassembly.
Not sure it will fit?
Send photos of your lift, the route and the spot. We will confirm access before you order, not after.
