Delivering to Wellington
From our Queensland facilityOur Newport space has the range set up so you can shut the door, have someone talk outside, and hear the difference for yourself rather than reading a decibel figure.
That matters more in Wellington than most places, because a large share of the enquiries we take here come from workplace designers and fitout firms specifying on behalf of a client. Being able to send someone to sit in the actual product shortens that conversation considerably.
Delivery runs from our Queensland facility. Standard white and grey pods are typically on a Wellington floor three weeks from order, rather than the twelve to sixteen weeks that built-to-order imports take.
Getting a pod into a Wellington building
What actually goes wrongWellington's building stock splits into two problems. The CBD grid and Collins Street end has a lot of older towers with small passenger lifts and tight service corridors, where the constraint is almost always the 2310 mm packed pallet length rather than anything about the pod itself. Docklands and the newer towers are generally easier on lifts but stricter on dock booking and after-hours access windows.
Then there is the converted warehouse stock through Cremorne, Collingwood, Fitzroy and Richmond — generous floor plates, high ceilings and often no lift at all. Ground floor is straightforward. First floor up a single stair is a conversation worth having before you order.
We deal with building management directly on dock allocation and lift bookings. Tell us the address and we will usually know the building or find out quickly.

A one-person booth on an open-plan floor. Delivered flat-packed and assembled in place in a single morning.
Send us three measurements
Internal lift dimensions, the narrowest point between the dock and the destination, and ceiling height at the spot. Packed pallets are 1270 mm tall and between 2310 and 2650 mm long — that length is what fails a lift. Send photos and we will confirm access before you pay for anything.

Delivery and installation
Free to any Wellington addressDelivery is free anywhere in Wellington and across Wellington Region, included in the published price rather than added at checkout. Our own installation team covers metropolitan Wellington — we do not subcontract it, because the people carrying panels into a lift are the same people who know what the pod is supposed to feel like when it is finished.
Professional installation runs from $1,145 ex GST for a one-person booth to $2,070 for a six-person pod, covering delivery to your floor, assembly, connection and testing. Or take it flat-packed and two people will have it together in an afternoon.

“I use the Solo Plus as a proper workstation for most of the day, not just for short calls. There is enough room for my laptop, monitor and notes, and it feels comfortable even during long stretches of focused work. It has made working in an open office much easier.”

★★★★★
“The narrow footprint was the main reason we selected the FocusPod Team. We had a long section of unused floor space but not enough width for a conventional meeting room. The pod fitted the area perfectly and gave us a proper team meeting space without changing the entire office layout.”

Common questions
From Wellington buyersDo you deliver outside the main centres?
Yes. We deliver and install everywhere in New Zealand, not just the main centres. Delivery to Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch is included in the published price. Rural, remote and South Island regional addresses may carry an additional freight charge — we quote it up front with your pod price, never at checkout and never after you have ordered.
Do you deliver office pods to Wellington?
Yes, free of charge to any Wellington address, included in the published price. In-stock white and grey pods typically arrive within three weeks of order from our Queensland facility. Custom colour combinations are built to order in four to six weeks.
Can I see an office pod in Wellington before buying?
Yes.It is worth doing — sit inside with the door shut for ten minutes with the ventilation running, which tells you more than any specification sheet.
How much do office pods cost in Wellington?
The same as anywhere in New Zealand: $10,730 to $20,335 ex GST depending on size, with delivery to the main centres included and rural addresses quoted separately. We publish every price rather than quoting by region, so there is no Wellington premium and nothing to negotiate.
Will a pod fit in my Wellington CBD building?
Usually, but the lift is the question. Older Collins Street and CBD grid towers often have small passenger lifts, and the packed pallet is up to 2650 mm long depending on model. Send us your internal lift dimensions and we will confirm before you order.
Do office pods need council consent in Wellington?
No. Freestanding pods do not attach to the building and are treated as furniture rather than building work, so no council consent is required anywhere in Wellington Region. Check your lease for landlord conditions on floor loading.
Do you install in a warehouse conversion without a lift?
Ground floor, yes, straightforwardly. Upper floors without a lift depend on the stair — width, turns and landing space. Send photos of the stairwell and we will tell you honestly whether it works.
Also serving Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch, New Zealand, New Zealand and the Queensland. See the full range and prices or the buyers guide.
