Soundproof office booth standing beside a row of desks

Soundproof office phone booths for Auckland workplaces start at $10,730 ex GST with delivery included. They are rated Class A under ISO 23351-1 at up to 30 dB, run from a standard power point with no electrician, need no council consent, and install in a single morning. We coordinate dock and lift access with building management directly.

The Auckland problem

Towers and access

Auckland offices have the same call problem as everywhere else — someone takes a client call at their desk and thirty people lose their concentration, or a six-person meeting room gets booked for a fifteen-minute one-to-one because it is the only door that shuts.

What is specific to Auckland is getting the booth into the building. Dock bookings often need days of notice, many CBD towers restrict deliveries to specific windows or after hours, and goods lift allocation is frequently controlled by a third-party facilities company rather than the tenant.

We deal with all of that directly. Give us the address and the floor and the building paperwork is our problem rather than yours.

Two booths, one job

Solo · Solo Plus

If the booth is for calls between meetings, the Solo is the right answer. If someone is in there two hours at a time with two screens, the Solo Plus earns the extra. Need two people? That is the Duo, and there is more on phone booths generally.

Access, specifically

Three measurements
1

Goods lift dimensions

The packed pallet for a one-person booth is 2310 × 570 × 1270 mm. That 2310 mm length is what fails an older CBD tower lift, and it is worth measuring before ordering rather than after.

2

Delivery windows

After-hours-only access is common in the Auckland CBD. Not a problem, but it needs arranging rather than discovering on the day.

3

Floor protection

Building management often specifies what can be run across a lobby floor. Tell us the address and we will find out what applies.

Class A acoustics

What that actually means

Speech level reduction in booths is measured under ISO 23351-1 and Class A is the highest band, around 30 dB. In practice a normal speaking voice inside is not intelligible outside — someone a metre away knows a conversation is happening and cannot make out a word of it. Ours is Class A to ISO 23351-1, and we will send the report reference if you want it. If a quote you are comparing shows a decibel figure with no standard attached, it has not been tested the same way.

Solo · Auckland

★★★★★

“We added a FocusPod Solo because private phone calls were becoming difficult in our open-plan office. It gets used constantly for client calls, Zoom meetings and focused work. It looks professional, takes up very little space and has freed up our meeting rooms for larger groups.”

★★★★★

“We use the FocusPod Meet for client appointments and video conferences almost every day. It gives us a quiet, professional setting and prevents clients from having to sit in the middle of a busy open office. The finish also matches our workplace extremely well.”

Common questions

From Auckland buyers

How much does an office phone booth cost in Auckland?

From $10,730 ex GST with delivery to the main centres included — the same published price nationwide, with rural and remote addresses quoted separately. A larger single-person booth with room for dual monitors is $14,505 ex GST. Professional installation is optional from $1,145.

Will a phone booth fit in my Auckland CBD building's lift?

Usually, because booths ship flat-packed. Packed pallets are 1270 mm tall and 2310 mm long for a one-person booth. That length is what fails an older goods lift, so send us the internal dimensions and we will confirm before you order.

Can you deliver after hours in Auckland?

Yes. Many Auckland CBD buildings restrict deliveries to specific windows or after hours only, and we work to whatever the building requires. Tell us the address early so dock booking and lift allocation can be arranged properly.

Do phone booths need council consent in Auckland?

No. A freestanding booth does not attach to the floor, walls or ceiling and is treated as furniture rather than building work, so no council or building consent is required.

How soundproof are they?

Rated Class A under ISO 23351-1 at up to 30 dB speech level reduction, which is the highest band. A normal speaking voice inside is not intelligible outside — someone a metre away hears that a conversation is happening but cannot make out the words.

How many booths does a Auckland office floor need?

One per fifteen people for a team taking normal call volumes, and one per eight to ten for sales, recruitment or client-facing teams. Two together get used considerably more than one, because people stop trying after finding a single booth occupied twice.
