FocusPod Warranty

Warranty

Ten years structural. Three years electrical.

Parts held on the Queensland rather than shipped from overseas, which is what actually decides how long a fix takes.

Every FocusPod comes with a 10-year structural warranty and a 3-year electrical warranty from the date of delivery. Structural covers the frame, panels, glazing and door mechanism. Electrical covers ventilation, lighting, power and control electronics. Spare parts are stocked in our Queensland facility, so most repairs are days rather than months.

What's covered

10 years

Structural

Frame, acoustic panels, glazing, door and closing mechanism, against defects in materials and workmanship. This is the part of the pod that should outlast several office moves, and the warranty term reflects that.

3 years

Electrical

Ventilation fans, LED lighting, occupancy sensing, power outlets, USB and the control board. Shorter term because these are wearing components with a different service life, not because we expect them to fail.

What's not covered

Said plainly

Damage from misuse or accident. Unauthorised modification, including cutting into panels for cabling. Damage caused during a relocation carried out by someone else. Normal cosmetic wear such as marks on upholstery or carpet.

Relocation is worth a specific note. Pods are designed to be disassembled and moved, and doing so does not void anything. But if a panel or a door seal is damaged in the process by a third-party removalist, that damage is not a warranty matter. If the move matters, have us do it.

Why parts location matters more than the term

A long warranty is easy to offer and hard to honour quickly. The question that matters is not how many years, but where the parts are. Ours are on the Queensland.

Fans, seals, lighting components and control boards for every FocusPod model are stocked in our Queensland facility. A failed fan is usually a part shipped the same week. The same failure on a pod supported from overseas can mean weeks of waiting on freight while a booth nobody can use sits on your floor.

Making a claim

Three steps
1

Email us with photos

info@focuspod.co.nz with the model, roughly when it was delivered, and photos or a short video of the problem. Video is particularly useful for anything intermittent or noise-related.

2

We diagnose remotely first

A surprising number of issues are resolved over email — a control setting, a seal that needs reseating, a fan filter. If it needs a part, we identify which one from the photos.

3

Part or technician

Most parts ship with instructions and are replaceable without a technician. Where an on-site visit is needed we arrange it in the capitals with our installation team.

Returns

30 days on stock pods

Standard stock pods can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Custom colour combinations from the seven exterior and thirteen interior finishes are built to order and are not returnable. Contact us before returning anything so we can arrange collection rather than have you organise freight on a 300 kg pallet.

Common questions

What warranty comes with a FocusPod?

Ten years structural and three years electrical, from the date of delivery. Structural covers the frame, panels, glazing and door mechanism. Electrical covers the ventilation system, lighting, power outlets and control electronics.

What does the structural warranty cover?

The frame, acoustic panels, glazing, door and its closing mechanism against defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover damage from misuse, unauthorised modification, or relocation carried out incorrectly by a third party.

What does the electrical warranty cover?

The ventilation fans, LED lighting, occupancy sensing, power outlets, USB and the control board, for three years from delivery. Electrical components have a shorter term than structure because they are wearing parts with a different service life.

Where are spare parts held?

In our Queensland facility. Fans, seals, lighting components and control boards are stocked in New Zealand rather than shipped from overseas, which is usually the difference between a two-day fix and a two-month one.

Does the warranty transfer if I sell the pod?

Contact us with the details and we will confirm on a case-by-case basis. Pods are relocatable and often change hands with a business or a tenancy, so this comes up more than you might expect.

Does relocating the pod void the warranty?

Not if it is done properly. Pods are designed to be disassembled and reassembled. If you move one yourself and damage a panel or a seal in the process, that damage is not covered — so if the move matters, have us do it.

What is the returns policy?

Standard stock pods can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Custom colour combinations are built to order and are not returnable. Contact us before returning anything so we can arrange collection.
