Acoustic pods for clinics and healthcare
Consultation, telehealth, counselling, patient privacy at reception, and somewhere for staff to make a difficult call. The requirements here are stricter than an office and different in kind: confidentiality is a duty rather than a preference, and cleanability matters as much as acoustics.
Six models, one configurator
Every FocusPod has a glass front and rear, built-in wheels and adjustable levelling feet.

Confidentiality is a duty here, not a preference
In an office, being overheard is embarrassing. In a clinic it is a breach. That changes which number matters and how hard you should push a supplier on it.
Ask for speech level reduction measured on the assembled pod under ISO 23351-1 with ventilation running. FocusPod is laboratory tested above 29 dB, and the accessible model reaches 30 dB, Class A. In a normal clinic corridor that puts a consultation below the surrounding noise floor, which is the threshold at which words stop being followable.
Then deal with the part most people miss. A glazed pod with a screen facing the glass puts patient records in view of the waiting area. Orientation of the furniture solves it for nothing if it is considered before placement, and not at all afterwards.
Cleaning, air and access
Surfaces. Specify wipeable finishes rather than soft upholstery anywhere a patient sits. It is a configuration choice and it costs nothing to get right at order.
Air. Adjustable ventilation is standard, and it matters more in a clinical setting than an office because appointments run long with the door closed. Ask any supplier for the air exchange rate, not just whether there is a fan.
Access. A patient using a wheelchair cannot use a pod with a lip at the door. Our accessible model has a level threshold, an 872 mm clear opening and 2070 by 1560 mm of clear floor, and it tests at 30 dB rather than trading acoustics for the access.
What a pod is not is a clinical treatment room. It is a private space for conversation, consultation and telehealth. If the requirement involves procedures, medical gases or infection control beyond wipeable surfaces, you need a built room.
Where they go in a clinic
Away from the waiting area rather than in it, because a patient walking into a visibly private room in front of a full waiting room defeats the purpose. Near reception for the check-in conversations that should not be had across a desk. And somewhere staff can reach without crossing a public area, for the calls nobody should overhear either.
Every model, priced
Published, so a costed proposal does not need a phone call first. Furniture and installation are separate lines.

Prices are for the pod in the configuration you choose. Finishes, furniture and compatible extras are listed separately as you build. Delivery, destination costs and any applicable tax are confirmed on your written quotation, so the total you approve is the total you pay.
Work out what your project actually costs
Choose the model and the quantity and you will have a real number in a few seconds. No enquiry, no email address, no waiting for someone to come back to you. Every figure below is the same one you will see in the configurator.

What is included as standard
Every FocusPod arrives with laminated glass front and rear, layered acoustic insulation, adjustable ventilation, dimmable LED lighting with adjustable colour temperature, power and an occupancy light. Speech level reduction is laboratory tested at greater than 29 dB under ISO 23351-1, the international standard written specifically for pods. Every pod is covered by our five-year structural and electrical warranty.

There is no separate charge for the black or white exterior or for the standard interior palette. Other exterior colours use the displayed upgrade price, and a custom interior colour is priced per pod. All of it is listed separately as you build, so nothing arrives as a surprise on the quotation.
See it properly before you decide
Take a look inside. The film below walks through the Solo, the most compact model in the range, and the 3D configurator lets you turn any model around, change the finishes and try the furniture layouts. If you would rather be walked through it, we will do a live video walkthrough of the pod you are considering and answer questions as we go.
Common questions
Is it private enough for a clinical conversation?
Speech inside sits below the surrounding noise floor in a normal clinic, tested above 29 dB under ISO 23351-1 with ventilation running. Specify the glass treatment and the screen orientation as well, because those are the visual half of the same requirement.
Can the surfaces be wiped down?
Yes, if you specify wipeable finishes at order rather than soft upholstery. Tell us it is a clinical setting and we will configure it that way.
Can a patient in a wheelchair use it?
Use the accessible model, which has a level threshold with no lip, an 872 mm clear opening and 2070 by 1560 mm of clear internal floor.
How long does delivery take?
Made to the configuration you approve. Around four weeks from a confirmed order, plus shipping and installation, with the window confirmed in writing for your address.
Does it need electrical work?
No. Standard socket, no fixed connection, no fixing to the building.
Are the front and rear both glass?
Yes. Every FocusPod has glass at both the front and rear. Standard glass is clear. Optional PDLC privacy glass can be selected for the front only or for both the front and rear.
Can I move the pod once it is installed?
Yes. Every FocusPod has built-in wheels and adjustable levelling feet. Raise the feet to move the pod on its wheels, then lower and adjust them to level the pod in its new position.
